Expecting a baby is a special time in the life of everyone, whether it is the first time or the second (or third and so on) :-).

Like every child is unique in their own way, your pregnancy will be different each time as well.

If you are reading this, then it could be because during an ultrasound examination your baby has been diagnosed with or is suspect of having clubfoot.
That was probably quite shocking news if you have never encountered this birth condition before. It is perfectly normal to feel that way! As a clubfoot parent I’ve been through this and I know how  emotional this time can be. You are worried about the future of your child, you have plenty of questions and thoughts on your mind:

Will it cause any problems during birth?
Can this condition be corrected?
Will my baby be able to live a normal life?
How will this impact the development of its motor skills?
Will my child be able to do any sports?
Will we require physical therapy?
Who do I turn to for help?
How long does the treatment last?
Which doctor do I trust with the treatment?
When and how do I share this with my friends/family?
How will this affect our everyday life?

You will need to make plenty of decisions already before birth.

As a mother of a clubfoot baby I am aware that answering all these different questions requires special knowledge and can only be done on an individual basis since every case is different. Unfortunately you have to figure out the answer to some of those questions on your own… However the good news is that I will try to help by sharing my experience. I will give you some tips where to find reliable and accurate information on clubfoot related questions.
