We are the creators of Bracers
We know the feeling very well when you find out about your babies clubfoot during the ultrasound scan, you experience different emotions and many questions pop up, you feel lost, helpless. It’s all the more so if you find out only at birth.
Whenever you find out about it, the challenges during the treatment are most of the time pretty similar.
Having contact with parents who are going through the same thing can ease our concerns a little bit. Seeing the progress of others will give us the strength and belief that we can do it too!
Obviously all parents want the best for their kids, especially when it comes to health. It can give you immense strength and hope, even just receiving a few good tips or kind words from those having more experience with this.
We felt the same way, we joined a great little community online, even before our baby was born we got a lot of information and help with regards to the treatment or choosing a doctor, so we were better prepared for his arrival.
So in theory we knew everything there was to know (at least we felt that way), but then reality struck and we started facing things we couldn’t even think of before. These experiences made us look for solutions on the internet, however the results were disappointing. You were left with DIY (do it yourself) solutions to try to make the life of your clubfoot baby easier.
Having seen other families going through this, we realised that most of the time they face the exact same challenges and they also try to find solutions for them.
Unfortunately we found nothing useful, no good solutions or alternatives, not only in Hungary but even when looking on a broader European scale. So we thought, let us be the solution! We know from first hand experience what type of difficulties come up during the treatments and how hard it is to figure them out and solve them with DIY methods.
